About Us

Above: getting ready for the annual BlueShoe Brunch during the CMA Music Festival. On the last day of the Festival, BlueShoe throws a Sunday brunch at our office (located in historic Marathon Village). The brunch is catered by the Loveless Motel and features their famous biscuits and jam, biscuits and ham. This annual event is a way for us to meet our charming BlueShoe clients who come to town in early June each year for the annual CMA Music Festival.
About our company:
We're a city guide to Nashville, established online since 1998. We specialize in offering Music City vacation packages, including those to the Grand Ole Opry, the CMA Music Festival, and the CMA Awards Show.
About our name
BlueShoe Nashville's title was inspired by a Tennessee musician named Carl Perkins who wrote and sang "Blue Suede Shoes." Perkins' shoe ditty was a hit not once, but twice. A Memphis man named Elvis Presley brought his own particular flair to Perkins' work and turned it into a sensation all over again. When we were looking for a title for our travel guide to Nashville that would honor the musical heritage not only of the city, but the region, Perkins' and Presley's renditions came to mind. A BlueShoe Traveler does the town in style, with imagination, curiosity, and discernment— making the discoveries that can turn even the most humdrum business excursion into a journey of revelation and delight.
